Operating Partner
John Fenton is an Operating Partner at Terramont Infrastructure Partners, where he works closely with portfolio company management teams to accelerate growth, improve operational performance, and execute value creation initiatives. John brings more than 20 years of executive leadership experience building and operating essential transportation and infrastructure businesses.
He previously served as President and CEO of Patriot Rail, third largest shortline rail business, where he led the company’s expansion through organic growth and strategic acquisitions, growing the business into one of the largest short line railroad platforms in the United States. Earlier, he served as President and CEO of OmniTRAX and held senior operational leadership roles at Waste Management, where he developed a strong track record of driving safety, operational excellence, customer service, and organizational performance. John holds a Master of Science in Systems Management from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Transportation from Indiana University Bloomington.
