Switzer-CARTY Transportation proudly announces the acquisition of County Bus Service, a longstanding provider of student transportation based in Foxboro, Ontario. This acquisition underscores Switzer-CARTY’s commitment to delivering safe, reliable, and community-focused transportation services.
Founded over 50 years ago, County Bus Service has built a stellar reputation for excellence in student transportation. Under the stewardship of Shelby and Robert MacPherson since 1998, the company has grown significantly through strategic acquisitions, including Loyalist Bus Lines, Tucker Bus Lines, and Hanthorn Motors Limited. These expansions have further solidified County Bus Service’s role as a trusted transportation provider in the region.
Shelby MacPherson will remain with the company, bringing her extensive expertise to Switzer-CARTY’s operations. Meanwhile, Robert MacPherson will retire after a distinguished career spanning more than 38 years, which began as a school bus driver while attending Loyalist College. His contributions to the local community and the transportation sector leave a lasting legacy.
